Frontier Imaging | Compton, California

Project Overview

Relocation Strategies was initially retained to execute the move of Frontier Imaging’s operations to a new location in Compton in conjunction with the sale of its 70,000 sf building. However, shortly before the move was to begin, circumstances forced Frontier to change direction, and the company instead leased back a portion of the building it had just sold. Relocation Strategies quickly readjusted its scope to execute a restack of Frontier’s operations within its existing building.

Part of the restack involved temporarily staging certain offices that had to be vacated while tenant improvements were preparing new offices to be occupied. Relocation Strategies phased the timing of the move to permit TIs and executed a decommission process that achieved the objectives of completing the project within a tight timetable to avoid holdover rent and avoiding any disruption to productivity.

Relocation Strategies was responsible for contracting commercial movers for the office contents, the workstations and the decommission process. The project even required sourcing a specialized vendor who moved a 2,500 pound snooker table from the second floor and reassembled it at an offsite location•
